One of the fun things to do before or when the baby is born, is to name it. As their name to all people in the world, they make us unique and identify each other on the character we have. The moment the child is born and named, the name they hold, will continue until they age and die. It is therefore important for your baby’s name carefully and correctly, so that when the grown child will not regret it. There are many popular baby names you can give a baby at birth. American names are generally used because of the popularity of leisure shared worldwide. Also Italian and Spanish are widely used today.
Not so long ago, one of the main trends for baby girl names here in the States was to give Irish names, both for boys and girls. Irish names were a major development in the United States, particularly for boys. It is only since the 90s that names such as Aidan and Declan have been common among American children. One reason may be that the name Sean became common in 1980-s. Parents are now reaching even farther to find Irish names that are unique to the United States.
But beyond Irish influence, American names come from a variety of cultural sources. Among them are: English, Egypt, Czechoslovakia, Gaelic, French, Italian and Hebrew. America has always been a melting pot of people from different ethnic backgrounds. As the name of such person does not necessarily here are attached to a particular ethnic group, the Indians give their children English names, Italian children are given Irish names like “Sean.” And, of course, popular names are strongly influenced by the popular media celebrities and businessmen. Dylan rose as a popular name in the 70′s, almost certainly due to the influence of Bob Dylan in the previous decade.
